Dear Glenn and family, My husband Frank, and Jack were friends when they were both bachelors and worked at Savannah Machine and Foundry. Frank had relatives and friends in Sandersville and dated Ellen's sister Alice. When Ellen move to Savannah she called Frank. I think we were married then and we set up a blind date. They came to dinner, I'm not sure they knew we were in the room. Jack had a boat so on one double date we went on a picnic to one of the islands around Wilmington Island. There were people waving and honking their horns, we waved back having no idea they were warning us that the water was going to recede. Jack and Frank had to wade out in the muck to retrieve the boat which had drifted away. Then Ellen and I waded out in muck above our knees, holding hands and screaming. Only later did we see the humor in it. She was beautiful and they were a match made in heaven. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Betty Moye
